A local nonprofit gallery that highlights art created by homeless and nontraditional artists is seeking supply donations.
Art to Hart will take place at In-Town Gallery Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. The gallery is located at 26A Frazier Ave.
Artists and hobbyists are invited to clean out their studios of unwanted or incomplete projects to donate. Several Hart Gallery artists will also be at the event showcasing their work.
The gallery is seeking acrylic paint, gesso and mediums; watercolor and acrylic paper; paint pens and Sharpies; Mod Podge and glue; and canvases. No oil-based paints or cleaners will be accepted.
The gallery will also accept donations of cash and gift cards. All donations will go to purchase materials for community outreach, gallery supplies, framing artists lunches and more.

In addition to helping artists obtain supplies, Hart Gallery also teaches classes at a variety of agencies around town. The gallery serves low-income seniors, at-risk inner-city youth, and those who face physical and mental challenges.
